Basing House Ruins, Redbridge Lane, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 7HB.
Once one of the country's largest private houses belonging to the Marquess of Winchester, the house was besieged by Oliver Cromwell for over two years during the Civil War. Now the ruins cover a 10 acre site.
