Beverley Art Gallery, Champney Road, Beverley, North Humberside, HU17 8HE.
Traditional Edwardian art gallery situated on the first floor of the Champney Library building on Lord Roberts Road, Beverley. Highlights of the collection include portraits, landscapes, and domestic Beverley interiors by the early 20th century Royal Academician Fred Elwell and his wife, Mary Elwell, and the Champney Bequest of 19th century European landscapes and architectural studies. The collection also includes photographs, drawings and engravings of the local area. The first of the two galleries is devoted to showing works from the permanent collection. The second is dedicated to the temporary exhibition programme which aims to engage people with a wide variety of art.
