Art gallery featuring a collection of work by artists who lived around Saffron Waldron around the time of the Second World War. The Gallery was designed and opened in 1856 to house the collection of Francis Gibson, a member of the local banking family that later founded Barclays Bank. But it is particularly known for the collection of work by artists who lived in Great Barfield near Saffron Waldron. Artists featured include Edward Bawden, Eric Ravilious, Michael Rothenstein, John Aldridge and Michael Ayrton. Visitors can see illustrations, paintings, wallpapers, prints and more. There are also two or three changing exhibitions duyring the course of the year.
