Barnard Castle

Barnard Castle, Barnard Castle, County Durham, DL12 9AT.
Barnard Castle was built on a defensive site in 1125 and is situated on a steep bank overlooking the River Tees. The castle is a complex site and is divided into four walled & ditched baileys and is protected by the Great Ditch.
