Basingwerk Abbey

Basingwerk Abbey, Near Greenfield, Holywell, Clwyd, CH8 7GH.
Basingwerk was a Cistercian Abbey originally founded as a house of the order of Savigny in 1131. It was remodelled in the 13th century and again at a later period and its substantial remains are still open to the public.
