Allen Banks & Staward Gorge, Bardon Mill, Hexham, Northumberland, NE47 7BU.
Wooded gorge of the River Allen. There is a pretty Victorian ornamental garden and a natural river gorge cutting through ancient woodland.
It is a site of Special Scientific Interest for its rich plant and animal life
Visitors can enjoy attractive views from a medieval pele tower on a hillside above the gorge, and miles of footpath to explore.
