Anglers Country Park and Visitor Centre
Anglers Country Park and Visitor Centre, Wintersett, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF4 2EB.
Formally one of the deepest opencast mining sites in Europe, restoration was completed in 1986 to include a 30 hectare lake. Designated a site of Scientific Interest it has quickly become one of the most important inland over-wintering bird sites in Yorkshire. Part of the Park is a nature reserve.
