Bolam Lake Country Park, Near Belsay, Northumberland, NE20 0HE.
Country park set around the 25 acre Bolam Lake, it is particularly known for its bird life including the resident mute swans. The park is unusual because the birds have become so tame that many will eat from your hand. Visitors can enjoy walks along the woodland paths and try and spot red squirrels or take a picnic in one of the picnic areas. Coarse fishing and canoeing is also possible on the lake.
