Bala Lake Railway

Bala Lake Railway, The Station, Llanuwchllyn, Gwynedd, LL23 7DD.
Bala Lake Railway offers a nine mile return journey alongside Llyn Tegid, through the attractive Snowdonia National Park. The 2ft gauge trains give views of the lake, its surrounding woodland scenery, and of the nearby mountains, Arenig Fawr, Aran Benllyn and Aran Fawddwy.
A round trip of about 1 hour can be broken at any of the stations to enjoy other activities - a pleasant 10 minutes walk into Bala town for shopping or merely browsing, access to the lake shore at various intermediate points for swimming, fishing or simply lazing by the waterside.
