Easter Skating Eggstravaganza
Easter Skating Eggstravaganza, Kensington Gardens, London, Middlesex, W2 3XA.
London skaters will celebrate the start of the summer skating season with four days of FREE events in London this Easter. The Easter Skating Eggstravaganza kicks off on Friday 6th April 2007 with the Long Good Friday Night Skate, a 17 mile roll round London. Saturday will see FREE workshops and taster sessions while the feature event of the weekend is a fancy dress costume skate, the Bunny Stroll on Easter Sunday. This is especially suitable for families and those new to skating. Bunny girls (and boys) will strut their stuff on an 8-mile relaxed roll on a high profile route around London's West End.
They will be accompanied by our FireBrox sound system pumping out 124 Decibels of cool music entertaining skaters and bystanders and our trained skate marshals are there to help and encourage participants. The day should be photogenic and unforgettable.
On our return to Hyde Park, there will be roller dance demonstrations from Rollerdisco's finest quad skaters, followed by a competition and a party with prizes for the best dressed skater.
Elsewhere on the weekend, there will be a Treasure Hunt, lessons from London's ICP skate schools, and taster sessions covering roller hockey, slalom and dance.
