Cheddleton Flint Mill and Museum

Cheddleton Flint Mill and Museum, Leek Road, Cheddleton, Staffordshire, ST13 7HL .
Picturesque flint mill on the river Churnet near Cheddleton. Visitors can see two kilns and two large water wheels running side by side driven by the river.The wheeks were used for driving large pans for grinding calcined flint for the Pottery Industry. The Display room shows the processing of raw materials, a model Newcomen Engine shows how power was obtained when there was no water flow. The Miller's Cottage has been restored and shows how he have would have lived in days gone by.
