Beale Park, The Childe Beale Trust, Lower Basildon, Reading, Berkshire, RG8 9NH.
Beale Park was founded by Gilbert Beale who built up a collection of ornamental pheasants and peacocks. Today the the park's collection includes flamingos, many waterfowl, swans, parrots and cranes, owls, pheasants, pigeons and laughing thrushes. The Park is now involved with many national and international breeding programmes for endangered species.Visitors to Beale can also see the Deer Park while younger children can meet the animals in the pets' corner which includes rabbits and guinea pigs, chipmunks, mice, squirrels and lambs.
