Visitors to Beaver World can see many different animals, beavers and reptiles including a number of snakes. It also has different birds including pheasants, chickens and beautiful owls. Many of the creatures have been abandoned and Beaver World cares for them and seeks homes for them where appropriate. The lizards at the zoo include iguanas, bearded dragons and water dragons. Other animals that you can see include turtles, tortoises, rabbits and chinchillas. Don't miss paying a visit to Big Boy the alligator and Colin the Caiman, some of the larger guests at Beaver World.
Beaver Water World & Reptile Zoo also has a busy entertainment schedule. This summer, from Sunday 24th July, visitors can enjoy snake & lizard handling days with photographs every Sunday, "Meet the Animals" on Wednesdays, and face painting & mask making workshops every Friday. Much of the programme is aimed at children and getting them interested in animal welfare but it is a fun day out for anyone and visitors are always warmly welcomed. Beaver World also has educational facilities making it a great place for school trips.
As a worthy charity, Beaver World always welcomes help. Why not make a donation, adopt/sponsor an animal or suggest or even organise a fund raising event? The animals are also always happy to receive some extra food so bring down your windfallen fruit and vegetables for a little treat.
