Bristol Zoo occupies a 12 acre site in Clifton. It is the fifth oldest zoo in the world and the oldest in Britain apart from London. It has over 400 species ranging from lions to love beetles. Most of the exhibits are under cover which makes it accessible whatever the weather. Visitors can get close to many of the animals and also watch the animals being fed. The Zoo is commited to conservation and research and works together with other zoos and associated organisations to breed endangered species.
